About us

In 2022, the designer furniture publisher Charlie Crane celebrated its 10th anniversary! A decade that allowed the growth of this French brand, now a must on the international market of high-end childcare.

The genesis

As its name does not indicate, the brand is 100% French, with a team mainly based in Paris! But from the very beginning, Charlie Crane has been very successful internationally. Since the iconic LEVO baby rocker that made the brand famous, Charlie Crane has developed a large collection of furniture and accessories for children from 0 to 6 years old: cradle, changing table, high chair, moses basket, evolving bed…

Sold in over 20 countries

Charlie Crane products are sold in more than 20 countries, mainly in Europe but also in the United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, Taiwan…

Taste and subtlety of French design

With over 300 retailers worldwide and now 300K followers on Instagram (of which only 30% are French!), Charlie Crane is a brand with an international scope, whose ambition is to carry far the taste and subtlety of French design.

Our mission

For once in the children’s sector, the founder of the brand is a man. More exactly, a father of 3 children! Because, as you may have guessed, it’s by experiencing fatherhood and seeing a plethora of flashy objects in his apartment that Thomas Lépine has the idea to launch Charlie Crane.
“In today’s interiors, room boundaries are becoming blurred. Charlie Crane’s goal is to design furniture for children that fits perfectly into the overall décor of the house and apartment.”
Thus, the baby’s bouncer blends in perfectly with the living room decor, the high chair harmonizes with the dining room table and the crib becomes a work of art… or almost!

But Charlie Crane is not just an aesthetic brand. The brand designs innovative furniture that tries to answer new uses or problems of young parents. For example, the KIMI bed does not have bars, on the one hand to avoid that the child does not hurt itself by getting stuck in the arm or the leg and on the other hand so that the baby cannot have a point of support to straddle the bed alone. Parents, sleep on your two ears!

Imagine new furniture, beautiful but above all practical; that is to say, that really makes daily life easier.

Beyond this necessary consideration of the new needs of families, Charlie Crane works hand in hand with the other actors of his universe, in particular by establishing collaborations with textile brands that he appreciates, such as Lucas du Tertre, Garbo & Friends, Jacadi, Louise Misha or Modetrotter.

Charlie Crane’s approach is to create sustainable products that use noble materials, if possible ecological, especially wood.

The brand also works to reduce its carbon footprint as much as possible. The products are designed as flat-packed as possible in order to reduce the volume to be transported; the use of plastic is reduced to the strict minimum and the factories are, as far as possible, as close as possible to the logistics center, located near Lyon in France.

The great team!

Since its creation

The Charlie Crane team has continued to grow. At first alone, Thomas Lépine was quickly joined by Gaspard Tiné-Bérès, the brand’s designer, and then by Lucille Dubos, in charge of the commercial pole.

Nowadays

The team has 12 employees, not all of whom are based in Paris. Charlie Crane has been telecommuting since before the Covid pandemic; some live in Orleans, Nice, Brussels… and even Barcelona! An international brand, we said.
